The following photo was taken as I stood in the balcony of our homestay (named Mepadanda) in beautiful, scenic, wonderful Coorg! This was our first visit to Coorg, which is located about 100 kms from Mysore in Karnataka, India. Coorg is plantation heaven, with plantations of tea, coffee, and other spices and condiments including cardamom, arecanut). We went in July during a particularly rain-filled weekend but despite spending time getting soaked in rain, we totally loved the whole experience – the sights, the sounds, the smells, the so-yummy food, the sweet hospitality. Coorg (or Kodagu) is also dubbed as the ‘Scotland of India’. It is, in my opinion, a little slice of heaven on earth with lots to explore and do.
This photo goes towards all the memes below (also have an additional collage of photos taken in and around our home for that weekend) as I continue my UBC journey.
