A whole new year has passed and last night, while watching the New Year show at Times Square and waiting for the ball to drop, I looked for a quote to wish friends and family. This seems to be my annual ritual on New Year’s Eve now.
This year, I decided on the following:
“And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been.”– – Rainer Maria Rilke
Wishing everyone a wonderful New Year of things familiar, of places and
faces near and dear; and yes – “full of ‘great new’ things that have
never been”
And for me, things that have never been will definitely include my word for 2016 – Consistency!
Consistency in blogging which is why I decided to give it a try by joining the Ultimate Blog Challenge. Rules for the challenge are pretty simple – blog every day of the month that you register for; comment on at least a couple other posts; share your post for others to read and comment on.
I will try to use a couple of helpful tools to help achieve this goal – like prompts at The Daily Post, as well as memes I used to enjoy participating in when I was posting more regularly.
Resolutions have not worked for me and I ended up trying to work towards achieving goals last year which also kind of did not happen. I will try working towards them again so here it is:
I will post my list of reading challenges and details on the above treasure map in tomorrow’s post.
Here is to 2017! And for my one photo a day, before we take down the ornaments and put them away, one last photo of our tree:
All the best for UBC…The tree looks beautiful…too bad you need to put it back. Putting back my X'mas tree always makes me sad.
Looking forward to reading more posts from you as part of UBC.
Do take a look at my latest post for UBC: https://diaryofaninsanewriter.wordpress.com/2017/01/01/my-husband-i-are-incompatible-is-my-marriage-successful/
thank you! today is the day for us to say good bye to the tree:)
You may want to make changes in your Twitter Sharing button – it directly leads to your Twitter profile instead of the link being tweeted.
thank you! will check out the twitter share button and update it
happy new year! best of luck with consistency– i'm right there with you.
thank you Kerri..
