So here it is, one penultimate post for 2011 before I bid a blogging goodbye to the year that has been!
(Note: this is just a goodbye to the year, not to blogging itself!)
For my Fun Friday post today,
Blogging – definitely one of the top fun things I have done
Reviews of books, places, and other stuff too
Memes galore that I love to do
Tips and Recipes to share,
One among a billion more blogs out there
Making new friends,
Writing, reading, responding to comments,
Blogging – yes, it is lots of fun
And as it is 55 words, though not really flash fiction, I am linking to Friday Flash 55🙂
Book
Beginnings: This is a weekly meme hosted by ‘A Few More Pages’.
How to participate: Share the first line (or two) of the book you are
currently reading on your blog or in the comments. Include the title and the
author so we know what you’re reading. Then, if you would like, let us know
what your first impressions were based on that first line, and let us know if
you liked or did not like the sentence. The link-up will be at A Few More Pages every Friday and will be open for the entire week.
My entry is from Septimus Heap, Book One: Magyk – I have been planning to read this series for some time now and have Book One on my Kindle forever already. I decided to check the beginning for the meme and love it! I am sure I am going to enjoy this.
“Silas Heap pulled his cloak tightly around him against the snow. It had been a long walk through the Forest, and he was chilled to the bone. But in his pockets he had the herbs that Galen, the Physik Woman, had given him for his new baby boy, Septimus, who had been born earlier that day.”
Sage, Angie (2011-01-18). Septimus Heap, Book One: Magyk
