I got into BBAW this year at the very last minute; one – to see what BBAW was about; and two – to get back into blogging after a long break..So, for the Interview Swap of day 2, here is my interview with myself:)
Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?
If I am reading during a meal, then yes, I snack while I read..
Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in
books horrify you?
I do not mark my books though the idea does not horrify me (well, maybe a little) but note down my thoughts on paper or on my blog!
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the
book flat open?
With digital books, it is a no brainer as the device does the
job for you. But for good old paper books, I just remember where I left off..

Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?
Both, though mostly fiction.
Hard copy or audiobooks?
Hard copy and digital books. I have not ventured into
audio books yet as I do want to see the printed (or digitized) word visually
still.

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to
put a book down at any point?
I read to the end of the chapter, if allowed and
if possible, will always prefer to read to the end of the book. If for some
reason, I have to stop in the middle of a chapter, well…if it was to go to
sleep, then I will not be having a good night’s sleep anyways!

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away?
Not really, I tend to keep reading and hope to get it in context which I do
many a times. I do make note of it to look it up later. Again, with digital
books, the advantage is I can right click to see the meaning immediately.

Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read
more than one at a time?
Just one book, no way! I always have a couple or a
couple more books going on at the same time.

Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read?
No, I love to read
anytime, anywhere.

Do you prefer series books or stand alone books?

Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and
over?
The last couple of years, I have recommended Rushdie’s ‘Haroun and the
Sea of Stories’, Kurien’s ‘Cutting for Stone’ and ‘The Maze Runner’ by Markus Zusak many times over.

How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?)
By
genre and then by title. And sometimes, just anyway that they look good on the shelf!

For more great interviews, you can check here.
Wow really interesting interview, both the questions and the answers. I'll have to check out your most recommended books as I haven't read any of them yet.
thank you! sure, the books are must-reads…
LOL about not stopping reading until the end of the book. That's what I prefer, too. I love days when I can do that. My current read is 900 pages long, so it will be awhile before I get there. The chapters are really long, too, so I'm mostly stopping at the line breaks between point of view characters.
Nice to "meet" you. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
thanks for your comments.. would love to hear your comments on your current read when you are done so will be sure to stop by again..
I really enjoyed Zusak's THE BOOK THIEF (though he is one INTENSE author). Haven't read anything else, but have a long plane trip in my near future. Maybe a good plane read!
i agree about the intensity.. i too still have to read more from Zusak..on my TBR..
Nice getting to know more about you…. I really should read The Maze Runner!
yes, you should Freda!..thanks for visiting
It was nice to read a bit more about yourself. ;]
Thanks for checking out my post. Just returning the favor.
Nice blog, by the way.
thank you for visiting me.. and thanks for the compliments..
Great to here from you, and thanks for stopping by my blog! I agree with the favorite reading place answer. I can read just about anywhere! Will visit your blog again soon!
Forgive my lack of grammar, it is time for me to stop blogging for the night! lol. I meant "great to hear from you" Sorry about that!
no issues at all, i did not notice it as well until your second comment.. i need to turn off my computer for the night as well…
thanks for visiting and looking forward to hearing from you again
I wish I had the brain power to remember what page I was on in a book! 😉
Great getting to know you better!
thank you! that is pretty much the only thing my brain manages to remember.. other things, like my son's piano class – it forgets…:)
