Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and this week’s topic is “Auto-Buy Authors”. While I do love many authors whose books appear on the market at a regular enough pace and I would pick them up because of the author, I honestly don’t have authors on auto-buy!
So what I am doing instead is listing those authors whose books I know I will buy without much (or no) thought just because they wrote the book… even if they try writing a different genre from their regular. Also, I do have way more than 10 authors but limited to just a few.
As with the past couple of posts, I am making this a family bookish post by including a few of each of the readers in my family’s choices.
Have Read More Than One Book By
- Brian Selznick
- Indu Sundaresan
- John Green
- Julia Quinn
- Khaled Hosseini
- Malcolm Gladwell
- Neil Gaiman
- Raina Telgeimer
- Salman Rushdie
- Stephanie Perkins
Just One Book Bowled Me Over
I am including a few more authors – I have only read one book by them so far (a couple have only the one published); but I know I will enjoy others by them:
Yet To Read, But Am Sure Will Love
And then there are those who I have not read at all, but I have a feeling I will enjoy each and every one of their books; for example
And so my bookish summer continues…..
This is for Day 16 of my bookish summer.. as I take a blogging journey along with fellow UBCers and other blogger friends all around the world. Once again, thank you for your support always!

Finally someone who mentions an author that I’ve put on my list (Khaled Hosseini and some more that I’ve read (Malcolm Gladwell, Salman Rushdie, Colson Whitehead, Lisa See, Yuval Noah Harari). Great list.
Thanks for posting.
🙂 Marianne.. I am in that position so very very often. What I list on my TTT don’t find any spots on other TTTs at all many a time and when I do see one, once in a blue moon, I am thrilled! Will check out your TTT..
Thanks for the visit. I always enjoy seeing other people’s list and you look like someone who loves that just as much. So, in the words by Ricky Nelson “I will follow you” …
Happy Reading!
Your twist to this week’s prompt makes a great deal of sense. And I feel the same way about Neil Gaiman’s stories.
My TTT.
🙂 Neil Gaiman was someone I had not heard of or read until when Coraline made news; and then I was hooked..
I have books by Neil Gaiman sitting on my Kindle, and two books by Salman Rushdie on my bookshelf yet to be read, but I will get to them someday. 📚
I have read both of Elizabeth Acevedo’s books and loved them. I listened to the author narrated audiobooks and they are glorious. 💜✨
Thank you for sharing your lists. 👍✨
